See. Connect. Empower.: The Barnabas Project Begins Year Two

See. Connect. Empower.: The Barnabas Project Year Two Begins!
On Saturday, September 5, 2026, the Barnabas Project officially launched Year Two at Thrive Collective, bringing together our new cohort for a day of connection, conversation, creativity, and vision.
We began by connecting around a shared mission: to serve our city and help transform battle grounds into playgrounds. Together, we explored what it means to enter our communities not simply as participants, but as artists, mentors, and leaders equipped to bring hope, creativity, and restoration into the spaces we inhabit.
Through games like the Yes Game, “Who Said That?” and Four Corners, we laughed, learned about one another, and discovered just how intertwined our stories really are. Behind every person is a story, and behind every story are experiences, gifts, and perspectives that shape how we see the world.
As the day unfolded, one thing became clear: this cohort carries a strong desire to recognize and actualize their power and agency. Each Fellow brings unique talents, experiences, and dreams—and there is such a deep motivation to put those gifts and unique talents toward meaningful goals and purpose.
What really stood out was the beautiful realization that our individual missions and our collective mission align. As we grow in skill, confidence, and capacity, this year, we are preparing to step into spaces this year Carrying the Spirit of Barnabas into every space we enter. Each fellow is excited to learn what it means to walk with eyes to see potential, hearts ready to encourage, and hands ready to serve while bringing creativity, hope, and encouragement wherever we go. As I mentioned, we want to see, connect and empower and this is only the beginning.
A new year of the Barnabas Project is underway, and we’re so excited to see what God will build through this community.
